Rod Olson is sponsored by CHAMP, and the PSD High School and Middle School Athletic Directors and Principals. 2010 Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award INTENT OF AWARD The Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award is presented annually to one outstanding coach in the Fort Collins community who focuses on character development while teaching life lessons through sports. This coach has rejected the “win-at-all-cost” model and is centered on helping players develop positive character traits that will enable them to be successful in life. Furthermore, this coach has helped to build a legacy of sportsmanship and character in athletics in the Fort Collins community. The Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award is presented by CHaracter in Athletics – Make it a Priority at the annual CHAMP Celebration Breakfast in February. Nominations must be received no later than by September 30th, 2009 to be considered for the 2010 Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award. COACH ELIGIBILITY In order for a coach to be eligible for this award, the individual must meet the following requirements: Minimum of 10 years coaching experience in Northern Colorado Must coach school, club, or recreational sports for ages 18 and under NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS 2010 Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award Nomination Form To nominate a coach for the 2010 Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award, please complete the nomination form above and submit it to CHAMP no later than 10:00AM on Wednesday, September 30, 2009.
