CHAMP is focused on promoting Character as an integral component of our Student-Athletes’ success, both on the athletic field and in life. The CHAMP Elite Team Award is given to teams who go above and beyond to promote, require and recognize good character during their athletic seasons. CHAMP Elite Teams make good character a priority.
A team can be recognized as an Elite Team by completing the following Application Requirements: #1) Design & Implement a Character Development Plan for your Team #2) Complete the Team Information and Team Resolution Forms #3) Complete the Character Development Questionnaire #4) Collect Player and Parent Testimonials #5) Complete the Merchandise Order Form Click here to download the Elite Team Award Application. (PDF) CHAMP Elite Team Applications are evaluated by a Review Committee at the end of each season. If a Team is recognized as a CHAMP Elite Team, the recipients will receive a CHAMP Elite Team Award Certificate, a CHAMP Elite Team Award tee-shirt, visor, cap or backpack, recognition on the CHAMP website and media recognition in the Coloradoan, a CHAMP Recognition presentation at a school assembly or end-of-year party. The CHAMP Stars Award is given to teams who introduce the character traits Dedication, Responsibility, Respect, and Teamwork during their season and document how players have demonstrated these character qualities during practice, during games, at school and at home. A team can be recognized as a CHAMP Stars Team by completing the following Application Requirements: #1) Introduce Character Development to your Team – Dedication, Responsibility, Respect and Teamwork #2) Complete the Team Resolution Form #3) Complete the Stars Implementation Grid during your Season
