2017 Keli McGregor Servant Leadership Award Winner
Our 2017 Keli McGregor Servant Leadership Leadership Award Winner is Dr. Tony Frank of Colorado State University. Dr. Frank is the 14th president of Colorado State University, one of the nation’s leading public land-grant research universities with more than 29,000 students and more than $300 million in annual research activity. Since his appointment to the presidency in 2008, he has overseen a period of record fund-raising and enrollment, rising graduation rates, increasing diversity, and unprecedented research support. He was named Chancellor of the Colorado State University System on June 1, 2015.
Dr. Frank has played a vital role in making some key decisions within the Athletic Department at Colorado State University over his tenure as Chancellor. This has included hiring several key coaches, retaining other key coaches and many major capital improvements, the largest of these being the newly constructed on campus stadium that will be opening this fall.
Dr. Frank has led with vision and strong character in his leadership and helped make Colorado State University a better place for our community. We feel that Dr. Frank embodies many of the traits that Keli McGregor displayed in his years as a leader with the Colorado Rockies and feel that he carries on these ideals at Colorado State University.
